During Winter 2009, the first phase of a major refurbishment of Bunrannoch House was completed, to begin to return the property to its former glory as a Victorian hunting lodge. Key features of phase I included:

  • Reconstruction and refurbishment of the kitchen
  • Construction of a new bistro/bar, to cater for lunches, afternoon teas and thirsty visitors
  • Redecoration of the dining room and drawing room
  • Provision of additional sanitary and disabled facilities

Phase II of the refurbishment will primarily consist of a reconfiguration and refurbishment of the guest bedrooms, to provide more flexible and higher quality accommodation.

The final phase of the refurbishment will see the re-instatement of a veranda around two sides of the house, with the main entrance reverting to its original position on the first floor.

Ben and Rita will be happy to provide full details of the refurbishment plans to guests.
